I cried when I left this place. I didn't see the reviews beforehand (no internet) and thought it's an actual cafe. This is a cramped room upstairs where all animals are in too small cages, the owls are chained to their spot with no chance...More

Sad animals in cages, or tethered in place, the experience filled me with dread and sadness. This is an extremely cruel environment, animals are clearly depressed and going mad in there. Awful. I regret supporting this place with my money.

We went here because we’d heard about them and thought they would be somewhere to see Owls etc in a safe environment. Oh my god. It’s up the stairs in a block of flats, essentially a zoo in an apartment. Sad sights of wild animals...More

I am guessing and I hope the owls, birds and animals there are well taken care of but I feel sad looking at them living in this very small place. I also think it's pretty unhygienic for the animals and birds to be in such...More

I do not think I have been to a more disappointing place in my life. There were about 30 different birds and animals in a dark area 6m x 4m. I have uploaded the flamingos in a 1m x 1m cement area with a plastic...More

This is not a pleasant place. The animals are all tied up, nobody has space to move, it was too loud. I'm not an animal activist, but I had to leave after 5 min, because I felt miserable being in there

Now I'm not an animal activist or raving lefty in any way so it takes a bit for me to get annoyed but this place is a disgrace. Not only did they have most of the owls chained to their perches but they also had...More

We stopped here after have lunch next door at Sushi Nova. The owls are gorgeous, but sometimes I was sad for them to be chained down. They are supposedly all rescued. We stayed for about an hour taking lots of photos and petting - back...More

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
