I really liked that Shrine! i cannot really explain why... It is not particularly nice, but still... the atmosphere... very particular! It is completely in the shade of many tress. Therefore cool, dark.. not visited at all by tourists.. I loved it!

This was not as good as the Ushijima Shrine which is five hundred meters down river but worth a visit if you are walking along the east side of the Sumida Park

One of the seven God of Sumida. You can check two at one point. Also you'll find statue of Lion same as located at Mitsukoshi department store. 隅田川七福神のうち2カ所を同時にお参りできるという便利な神社。 境内にはなぜか三越のライオン像があるんです

This place is a sacred place for the people of Japan, as a place of worship for them. As a tourist, I see this as a temple shrine normal, and does not need to be a special purpose for you.
