If you are fond of all things Japanese, this is another excellent example of Japanese architecture, heritage and culture. Nice quiet area and worth the walk.

This was our neighborhood temple when we lived in Tokyo for a year. It's a lovely little temple that was constantly upgrading its grounds during our stay. We were privileged to take part in the New Year's Eve celebrations here - great, free mochi!

We couldn't believe such a place existed right in the city. We felt like we were walking around in a movie. Very peaceful.

I was on my way to Waseda University for a conference and had a hour or so to kill, so on a whim, climbed the steps to this neighborhood shrine. I found it lovely and peaceful, a pleasant way to start the day.
