Kagurazaka is one of my favorite areas in Tokyo. There are really cute shops selling tea and local items and wonderful restaurants. I ate at a french inspired restaurant that was amazing!

We went to Kagurazaka on a friend’s recommendation and really enjoyed our evening there. We combined it with a late afternoon walk around the Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, which is about 10 minutes away on the other side of Iidabashi Station. We were amazed how many...More

This an old part of Tokyo with many temples and shrines hidden down back streets. You may need a guide for this tour as you can easily get lost.

Walking through Kagurazaka and the homewares, fashion and curios store -La Kagu - was great retail therapy. It also has a very contemporary shrine. We also went to the National Arts Centre

Simply strolling down the roads is a pleasant experience in Kagurazaka. It doesn't seem like any part of Tokyo rather a lively Parisian suburb. People are happier, walking down holding each others hands, nice shops, cafes & restaurants are plenty, music in the air from...More

Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around
the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in
Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a
photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old
Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this
day, and there are long-standing restaurants with
geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
