"Park" is not the right adjective for Yoyogi, its a Forest. The wow factor of the huge Tori gate is just the start. There is nothing manicured about this place and the walk from Yoyogi to Harajuku is so beautiful and tranquil. Make sure you...More

I love to stop here on a Sunday and see people enjoying themselves. The rock dancers have been doing their thing for many years. I miss the bands that used to play in the old days.

Sometimes a metropolitan city can be exhausting. Then you go to visit Yoyogi Park. It's a green oasis in the city. Take a stroll, watch the artists, enjoy the birds. You can really get lost here.

In a massive metro area, it’s nice to be able to find a place that has green everywhere you look. It was fairly uncrowned when I went and a great place to wander or read. There are also attraction nearby which makes it a good...More

Very peaceful park with great vibes. It’s fairly cheap but there is an entrance fee FYI. I’d go because it’s gorgeous.

At another review had mentioned, Elvis impersonators (maybe 8 to 10) were singing and dancing at the entrance to the park on a Sunday around 11 or noon. My 4 year old son wanted to want them for at least 30 minutes before I convinced...More

We found that by walking slowly in Yoyogi Park and saying hello as we passed groups of Japanese people, they often welcomed us to sit and join them. We were able to truly enjoy the experience of making local friends. Especially during Cherry Blossom season...More

We were told about the infamous Yoyogi Park and obviously, we had to check it out. There is no real boundaries to this park, you are just sort of walking from the train station and then boom! There's deer! I like to think the deer...More

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

Yoyogi park does not close during the night. I always, especially in summer time, have picnics with my friends. I think a lot of people are confused Yoyogi park and Meijijingu which is the shrine attached to Yoyogi park... More
