Ahhh...it took us two trips to Japan to manage to make time for this, but we did it and are delighted!!! First of all, for those that have put bad reviews, I think that, just like for everything in Japan, you have to do your research...More

Whoever has watched and loved Lost in Tramslation wants to go to Karaoke Kan. Why I didn't request room 601, I don't know and I'll never forgive myself!!! But, oh, the wonder of being in that space, singing like crazy, looking out at those Shibuya...More

This is the best non themed karaoke place in Shibuya. Ask for a top floor window room for a great view. Amazing list of English sub songs, cheap drinks and good food. You can haggle here so do it if you can.

We had our hotel concierge book 2 hours in THE room. They actually filmed in room 601 and 602. They told us the price per 30 minutes and drink minimums. Not bad. When we got there, they charged us for not only per 30 minutes...More

The location of Karaoke Kan is normal, like a typical Japanese karaoke bar. The sound quality is not the best, because your own sound has too much echo and so your voice doesn't mix with the playback at all. The price is much too expensive...More

This was a lot of fun, we spent four hours singing, a group of 12. This is the karaoke bar featured in Lost in Translation, and due to its fame, it's pretty expensive. It was, however, super fun, and the service was good. Don't expect...More

What a great karaoke experience! We asked our hotel to call up for us to book, and we originally started with 2 hours but ended up extending another hour because it was so fun. We ordered cocktails over the phone in the room, and they...More

It was my bride and I's first time at karaoke. No better place to try it then in Japan. They gave us our own room with amps and two microphones. The song lists were impressive and we sang our hearts out for two hours. The...More

The best part was that they had costumes we could wear as well as Tambourines and Maracas! We tried to negotiate a better price, but got rebuffed and went in anyway. Super fun. They were also a little lenient on the timing, which was really...More

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

I do not remember the price, however I believe it was reasonable per person, from memory the room was average size, they had a great range of music. I suggest pre drinks, I'm pretty sure they were like "club pricing" on... More
