Shibuya is a really cool place to hangout. On one side of the Tokyu Department store you have Shibuya Scramble and the Hachiko dog statue, while on the backside of the store you have a bus terminal with a subway entrance and the Moyai Statue....More

Saw this as we walked from Cerulean to the JR station in Shibuya, sitting just outside Tokyu Department Store, not really sure what it was, people were sitting/loitering around it.

this is just an odd thing near the station, and lots of people leave trash there, used to smoke there, and it just kind of makes no sense

Its just a rock with a head. Nothing really special. But since the hachiko smoking area is gone now, the moyai statue smoking area may be the place to smoke and wait for your friends.

Ehhh. Dont go out of your way to see this. It's really not worth it. We just walked by as it's right outside the train station. You can see enough as you pass by. Don't make an special trip to see it.

It probably fits well with Shibuya but this is just a big rock in the shape of a head and it does have some resemblance to the statues on easter Island but not much. There are more interesting places in Shibuya.

Nice to see and is worth a look. Don't spend too many minutes though as there are many other things to do.

It's located right next to a smoke pit. It's hard to admire the statue over the stench. Still a good photo op, but nothing too special

This was really cool to see since I probably won't ever go to Easter Island at least I was able to see a Moyai Statue and check it off the bucket list

Nice stone head! As described a big stone head. I found this without even looking for it. It's impressive, right in the middle of a flower garden.

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

The moai is a good place to meet people, because it isn't as crowded as other areas around the station. You use it as an emoji 🗿 when you text someone to meet you there.
