yes, tokyo has reputation as being clean, lots of places are, but not here on a sunday morning, dirty people, dirty streets, open booze bottles littered around at 9am on a sunday, luckily i was not going to church!

We have been here several times and are never disappointed. The department store is excellent, though we really enjoy the lower level food section. The selection is second to none. From great coffee, to beautiful flowers, take away food which is so fresh, meats and...More

We saw the Tokyo Philharmonic here. The space was beautiful and the performance amazing. We were on the third floor balcony and the sound was divine. It did get quite warm during the second half of the performance. I would recommend bringing a fan and...More

Entrance to this small, lovely museum is rather hidden in a larger entertainment complex. We went with Japanese friends to a Kyosai (an artist I had not previously known) exhibit. It was outstanding, well documented and explained. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We visited a wonderful exhibition of historic Japanese art located in this chic department store with elegant cafes. If there is an exhibition on that makes you interested you can kill several birds with one stone here. Bring the big wallet.

Japanese Contemporary theater and concerts are frequently played at this theater. Almost programs are played in Japanese only. The size of the theater is small, it accommodates 2000 guests.

This small museum is usually running a special exhibition of various genres. As one of the only late night museums in Tokyo I highly recommend checking out what is on. The Bunkamura also has the orchard hall where concerts are staged. A nice venue

My review is on the cinema and the theater. Good shows, interesting art films in japanese language or in french and english with japanese subtitles.

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
