I can’t say enough good things about this little part of Tokyo! We randomly picked Shimokitazawa on Airbnb and we are so happy we did! Tokyo is crazy, fun, crowded, and overwhelming and it was so nice to come back to this laid back little...More

A small area that’s easy accessible from Shibuya. Area has a lot of retro and second hand shops. Also a couple of cheap and good restaurants and trendy coffee shops.

I was here in the evening time and it was a very exciting walk from the station through the main street. Lot of local people and tourists making it a bustling place walking past the many shops and (local) restaurants. Shimokitazawa is an area which...More

Shimokitazawa is a great place to hunt for bargains (brand new and 2nd hand stuff). The neighborhood has a funky/hip feel with small well-curated shops sprinkled all around. There's also PLENTY of tiny coffee shops around with some of the best brews I've had. Great...More

Funky little neighbourhood with plenty of little cafes serving barista made coffee. There are lots of cool shops selling vintage clothing and other items. The streets are narrow and it has a real hipster vibe to it.

Used clothes stores, record dealers, antique shops... To call Shimokitazawa the Bohemian district of Tokyo would be a bit of a stretch, but it is a very cool neighborhood. Fun to walk around and a great place for getting a bite to eat!

Enjoyed our walk around here and how it was a bit less chaotic than some of the more touristy shopping areas! Some nice cafes and shows and also really enjoyed the cat cafe in this neighbourhood.

SHIMOKITAZAWA is not a restaurant name, but a name of the town in Setagaya city.
