Accessible from the side of Zojo-ji. There’s really nothing much to see except the impressive gate around the mausoleum. So only visit this place if you are going to the Tokyo Tower and Zojo-ji. There’s a booth selling prayer stuff if you intend to make...More

I've had some bad luck with operating hours in Tokyo, first the Imperial Palace Gardens are closed on Mondays, now this closed on Tuesday's. I recommend visiting anyway as the temple and surrounding areas are tranquil and peaceful.

I'm almost lost for words to describe this... but I loved it. Fascinating historical and cultural elements to immerse you in a piece of Japan. Well worth a visit. Probably a bit boring for little kids though!
