There are many bridges over the Sumida river but this one is set apart because it is blue in color. The blue color stands out among the bridges and is very unique. Best seen from the river.

As well as the structurural aspects this was a very busy pedestrian bridge that could in an emergency have ambulance and fire engines cross it.
