Where to start? Firstly there was a bit of a 'wow' as we walked in. The atmosphere was great and the room was very stylish. Although the bar was smaller than we expected, it gave a more personal experience. The bar staff were spot on,...More

We had an excellent bartender who made us cocktails using Japanese liqueurs we couldn't find in the States. Very cool selection and friendly bartenders! We paid about $25 per drink, which was expensive but not outrageous. Nice spot for a drink in Ginza!

Let's be clear, this is not your must-do tokyo visit stop at all. It's not for everyone. The bar was recommended by a friend and that's why we went and made sure to find it. But if you don't appreciate your liquor and know what...More

This is one of the best bars on the planet. It has awards to back that up, but it doesn't need them. At every juncture, they choose the best quality ingredients, some handmade in-house, and prepare them with proven, old-school techniques. But I don't go...More

We were sent the Bar High Five by a former bar manager/mixologist whiskey expert. He told us the proprietor was a lovely man and an amazing cocktail master and he was right. This is not a bar for a raucous party. One of the highlights...More

We were looking for a good cocktail and this place looked to be perfect... and it was! The service was excellent; the bartender asked what spirits we liked and then crafted a unique cocktail to each of our tastes. Also gave us good advice on...More

This is my second time visiting Bar High Five, I visited them when they were in a smaller venue, now they have moved into a slightly bigger basement location in Ginza not far from where they used to be. The service is very on point...More

The bar is at basement floor with no windows and a stinky elevator ride takes you there. As you enter there are the bar rules right on the wall. By the time we started reading it a non Japanese waitress rushed towards and urged us...More

It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
