We went, expecting Toulouse Lautrec, but the whole exhibition was of a very mediocre French artist, Redon. We were in and out of the gallery within seven minutes. 3000 Yen wasted. Nice gallery, but be careful about what you want to see.

If you have all day to spend near Tokyo Central Rail Station... Visit Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum. It has nice garden and lots of restaurants and coffee shops. It is hard to believe that this beautiful museum stands in the middle of office buildings. It is...More

The building itself is worth a look as is the poster exhibition we saw. A remarkable number of works available to view. The exhibition flows seamlessly through the building. It was a good way to spend time waiting to get into our hotel.

We went here for the French poster show and were not disappointed. The building is a little bit disjointed, but the show is well displayed.

Located in the heart of downtown Tokyo, this art museum is surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere of restaurants and shops. You can dip into your favourite paintings followed by a drink or meal at a restaurant nearby at the Ichigokan square.

The building is a fantastic relic of earlier days when Western style was entering and being interpreted by Japan. This well preserved structure also is the HQ for the bank, that has built above the original structure without removing the charm of this old Tokyo...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
