We spent a wonderful few hours at the Maia Zoo. It’s a small one, but my 3 year old enjoyed seeing the animals so close. The staff were super friendly, played with my toddler, took the time to tell us about the animals. Most spoke...More

This a good place to visit, nice and small. A lot of different activities, and with new areas also. I know this place for more than 30 years, and it's always a pleasure to return and see some changes...

The zoo is approximately a 10-15 walk from Parque Maia Metro Station. Entry for an adult was 7.50€ (in October 2017). The zoo is ‘smallish’ compared to some zoos. Although we still walked around the site in 2.5 hours. In my opinion, the zoo itself...More

A very fine way to use your time in Maia. It shows the effort put in a project and the outcome of these people's gift.

If you're visiting the area with kids it's a nice place to spend your afternoon. The zoo is a bit small but hardly crowded and I'm sure kids will like the experience.

This zoo is perfect for small children. You can see the animals from close up. There are many picnic places and a small play area.
