Choshi Otaki Waterfall should be regarded as the largest waterfall along the Oirase River. It was located at the halfway of the stream. The flow of water down to the lower level together with the different colored tree-leaves formed beautiful background for photo-taking. This is...More

It's a good spot to rest in the hike along the stream. Tourist tends to stay here for snacks and photos, and even set up their tripods for group photos.

I enjoyed breakfast under the falls. The weather was perfect and the sun shined just right on the falls.

We visited these falls as part of a river walk. This came at the end of our walk. Lovely to see in the context of the river. So tranquil on a summer’s day

This is probably the most unique looking small waterfall among a dozen or so waterfalls along the Oirase stream...don't expect Niagara, but still a good photo op

As a part of the Oirase Stream walk this waterfall is a pleasant part but don't make it the focus of your trip. The walk is great and this watfall is on one of the sections.

The colourful autumn leaves canopy of this place is the highlight during our visit in November. It was a long walk, but it was worth every step of it.

This lovely waterfall, while not all that spectacular, is a highlight of the hike along this rushing mountain stream. Hike as much of it as you can, and this waterfall is a great place to linger and take photos.

This is one of the most impressive of the "flatish" waterfalls along the Oirase Gorge. Easy to photograph. Try various settings to recreate the image just like in the photo for this review.
