We visited these falls as part of a river walk. This came at the end of our walk. Lovely to see in the context of the river. So tranquil on a summer’s day

Choshi Otaki Waterfall should be the largest and best waterfall found along Oirase Stream. The waterfall would be more impressive in autumn when the surrounding tree leaves turned into orange/red color. In order to preserve this spot and avoid unnecessary accident around the area, part...More

This is probably the most unique looking small waterfall among a dozen or so waterfalls along the Oirase stream...don't expect Niagara, but still a good photo op

As a part of the Oirase Stream walk this waterfall is a pleasant part but don't make it the focus of your trip. The walk is great and this watfall is on one of the sections.

The colourful autumn leaves canopy of this place is the highlight during our visit in November. It was a long walk, but it was worth every step of it.

This lovely waterfall, while not all that spectacular, is a highlight of the hike along this rushing mountain stream. Hike as much of it as you can, and this waterfall is a great place to linger and take photos.

This is one of the most impressive of the "flatish" waterfalls along the Oirase Gorge. Easy to photograph. Try various settings to recreate the image just like in the photo for this review.

Although not the biggest, I love any waterfall. This waterfall was a pleasure to see an enjoy. If you're walking along the stream, you wont miss it

We started from Nenokuchi - where water from Towada Lake flows into Oirase Stream that makes up the Oirase River downstream. The water was clear and blue right from the start. The information and estimated walking time was quite accurate and it gives plenty of...More

One of the biggest and best of many waterfall along the Oirsase Stream. We hiked there from Nenokuchi (by the lake). It was enough for the kids. Lovely spot!
