The Château it self is nice felt a little disappointed that you actually only get to see a few rooms and not the whole thing Also on our Vist they had some very strange art work in the rooms that you could go in which...More

I, too, had to make 2 trips to visit the chateau but since it is only 30 minutes by train from Paris, it was not a big deal to go a second time to see the inside. The first time I went was a Tuesday...More

I love France and its little castles. This one, in particular, I lived very close by and during the sunny days, it was ideal for a stroll. It is small but wonderful, I recommend to stop by and enjoy the view.

We were looking for a side venture traveling back to Paris from Chartres. This lovely chateau is close to A11 and doesn’t take long to tour (20-30 minutes). It was included in our Museum Pass so we were getting added value. The gardens are lovely...More

We arrived after lunch just in time for a guided tour of la Laiterie de la reine et la Chaumière aux coquillages. The laiterie, a gift of King Louis XVI to his wife, Marie-Antoinette, is a two-room marble structure in which she could invite friends...More

Paid €9 each to walk around a few empty rooms. Worse still, the rooms with contents had really horrific “art” that was so out of touch with the feel of the building. Honestly, keep driving and go the Chartres or something.

Well--we tried to get to this chateau twice and failed both times. Their website is terrible and has little information about what you'll see or practical information. The first time we arrived they were closed. The second time we arrived they were open but denied...More

Lovely place, totally recommend to visit the castle and then wander around the lovely parc which is open most of the time. Gotta say the grass is just great and there's many lakes and fountains... Recommend it for a sunny day tho.

Unfortunately the chateau was undergoing necessary restoration on our visit, so most of the external views of the architecture were covered up. However, I should imagine its beautiful. The chateau is situated at the end of the main street, just off the town square, in...More
