Went here for a few hours during our trip around Normandy. Beautiful bridges plenty of places to eat and drink and the views were beautiful. We even collected some very large shells for our home. Wouldn't recommend for a picnic if the tide is out...More

I had no idea that the beach was so wide and so long. It is amazing that men were able to survive running across a hundred yards of flat empty beach with no cover while under intense small arms fire. They were truly the bravest...More

It's one of the D-day beaches, and as such it is very historic. You can try to imagine the troops landing in enemy fire, and you get very humble.

Not much to see, here, except long strips of sand. It's a time to stop and remember the horrors that so many brave men faced.

This is where the Canadians launched their portion of the D-day invasion. Nice memorial here as well. take time to honor the memory of the Canadians who sacrificed so much to help the U.S free Europe.

Truly a sobering site, but nice to see the memorial and walk in the footsteps of these Heroes. At low tide you can spot lots of animal life and watch the fish mongers browse for the catch of the day.

The 3rd Canadian Infantry Division landed at Juno and despite suffering over 50% casualties they not only took their objectives but they then moved further in land from the beach then any others. Small tributes nowadays to these brave troops but will always be remembered...More

To be on top of the hill looking down at the beach and remembering that 73 years ago it was a scene of horror as thousands of troops made their way ashore as the Germans were shooting back with their cannons in the bunkers. A...More
