- ADPW6298 contributionsGreat experience and worth returningWe followed the disabled access route to the ticket office, Carers go free which is nice. There are lots of maps showing routes which are stepped, steep or more easily accessible. We had a great time in both biodomes. The rainforest one is beautiful, lush and very green. The mediterranean biodome has lots of more recognisable plants and trees. The paths were easy to access in my powerchair and the maps clearly say when they are not. Plenty of disabled parking spaces, accessible route details. Worth visiting at different times of the year as the plants with change with the seasons. The planting along the walkways is beautiful and there is a nice veg garden overlooking the restaurant.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 September 2023
- Emma BDerby, United Kingdom140 contributionsEnjoyed Eden but too many dogsAfter visiting years ago, we were pleased to see how Eden has grown and matured. The environmental messages are well done and more important than ever. We enjoyed the peaceful splendour of the beautiful Rainforest Biome and we even saw a Roul-Roul bird in there, but unfortunately our Mediterranean Biome visit was spoilt by a loud and tuneless kids entertainer. We felt there were too many dogs in the park, especially in the lunch place.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 September 2023
- Judith A4 contributionsPlant & Tree Labelling Let It DownFor those who want more than a stroll through the fantastic range of trees & plants, the lack of labelling and specific information made it really difficult to decipher what I was looking at. This requires urgent attention as people travel to see these trees & plants and pay a considerable amount to do so. If this is to be more than a stroll around a nice greenhouse, then definitely put money into clear labels and good quality information boards.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 September 2023
- MrDBmthBournemouth, United Kingdom116 contributionsGreat day out. Go with open mind, and be really enlightened.Very good day out, and very informative. Go with an open mind, and you will enjoy!. The Biomes were great and well worth going into. A few items of feedback: Once at Eden, the Park & Ride signage at car parks were poor. We had to walk from car park to Eden itself, and again signage was poor. Once there, all was OK. Inside, some of the signage could have been improved too. However it did not detract from the overall enjoyment. We went on a day that started dry, but soon was a wash-out. The dining area was very busy, and the queue for food was long. Perhaps a queue for drinks-only, may have helped. Overall, it was a great day out. We will certainly go again. Well done, Eden Project.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 September 2023
- Janice CTaunton, United Kingdom83 contributionsReturn visit after 17 years.I'm giving this 5 stars while acknowledging at the start that we paid entirely in Tesco vouchers, so, yes, it is expensive otherwise. Also we had no children to entertain/feed & could appreciate everything at our leisure & chose a quiet Monday, cloudy with intermittent rain & no sun to heat up the biomes, so the viewing platform was open & even had no queue! It pays to book an early time slot if you are staying close, to beat the influx & give yourself time to see everything. We also revisited the tropical biome shortly before closing to see it almost empty, with all the lovely birds roaming around. Since we visited last the Mediterranean biome is much more developed (it looked sparse then), but the tropical little changed except for the platform at the top - worth the climb. Outside is far better - just bulb displays then, now borders curving round the hillsides & loads of pollinators in the 'weedy' bits everyone is moaning about; if you want immaculate lawns & pristine order go to Wisley! I thought the contrasts outside, with cultivation terraces & vegetable/fruit/herb plots as well as dry area plants etc higher up was appropriate to this difficult former industrial site & educational for the young. Where I do agree with many critics is there is a confusing lack of signage down the zig-zags & it would be better to include the map on the Eden leaflet rather than forcing everyone to download on their phones from QR codes.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 September 2023
- Stewart GBristol, United Kingdom127 contributionsExcellent but better signage pleaseThe biodomes are exciting and captivating. Outside of them there is a disappointing lack of helpful signage. For example we followed a map to a japanese garden and a paper garden. Did we see them? I have no idea. Still,it is well worth a visit. Catering is very good, easy parking and opportunity for repeat visists is excellentVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 September 2023
- Jaynie196739 contributionsUnderwhelming!Sadly we left here quite disappointed and underwhelmed £70 entry for the 2 of us with free return for the next 12 months that is very doubtfully going to get used, I could bring my mum but she would need a mobility scooter and I didn’t see anything for hire except for some sort of wheelchair. There is an interactive app that I used twice to try and get into the swing of it, the outside gardens were quite boring tbh. The biorbs are pretty amazing to look at but once inside just didn’t really grab me. There are some lovely little birds wandering around but no life in the water features. Some very informative reading boards that do give you food for thought and we dragged it out for 3 hours only to try and justify the expense to get in.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 September 2023
- Steve14 contributionsDefinitely worth a visitVisited on 19th September, biodomes were great, lots of fabulous shrubs, plants and flowers, all well labelled and identified. Pathways in the domes are wide enough and although have gradients are even, so my own mobility scooter managed fine. We stopped for a coffee in the Mediterranean domes coffee shop, which had plentiful seating without ruining the theme of the dome. The importance of caring for our environment is spelt out in a fun and educational way. We unfortunately blasted past the outside gardens which border the zig zag paths joining the entrance building and the Biodomes, as the rain was coming down! I’m sure earlier in the year these would have been quite spectacular too, but due to the time of year, we didn’t feel we’d missed out much. The Core building we visited last, but to be honest was quite disappointing for us, but each to there own.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 September 2023
- Natalie WCodsall, United Kingdom739 contributionsGreat on a rainy day but too expensiveIt was chucking it down so this is the perfect place as it’s mainly indoors. Some parts are outside. It’s a lovely biodome with gardens. If you like nature and don’t mind the price it’s worth it. £33 per person is too much, £20 would be perfect. The cafe is ridiculous too. £4 for water!!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 September 2023
- foodandtravel9328 contributionsGood but not as great as beforeWe had visited Eden a couple of times before, both of which were excellent and we were looking forward to returning again. Sadly things seemed to have changed a lot since our last visit in 2017. We had purchased our tickets with Tesco points. Everyone around us had a warm welcome on the tills but we simply were told we had one day entry and that was it, no explanations for how things worked, warm wishes for our visit or even guidance on the map. Luckily we knew the way and how things worked from the before! Overall we had a great day but a few things did spoil this visit. The bake house was only serving filter coffee so you had to enter two queues of 15 minutes just to have lunch with a hot drink. The Mediterranean biome is primarily a restaurant now with very little else to see which was a shame based on previous visits. A lot of areas across the site also seemed to have restricted access. We loved exploring the gardens outside which was a highlight as always. It was a shame that our peaceful walk was accompanied by the clanging and drilling of the ice rink being set up and likewise the core building was also spoilt by the loud refurbishment works to the seed, also closed. Overall it’s definitely a must to visit, but perhaps not as good as it had been a few years ago! We would still love to visit again one day.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 September 2023

Our family have been visiting Eden every summer for the last three years and always find the events very well run. Due to these positive experiences we decided to treat our two children to a Christmas visit. What a disappointment!
We arrived at 1.30pm. The first issue was how unfriendly the entrance staff were, didn’t ask if we had any bookings for which you needed a wrist band to enter and no acknowledgement of our children.
There was no atmosphere because the music didn’t start until 5pm...for an event that was aimed at families this seems too late as the day would be over for most.
Additional activities in the day to Santa and ice skating (which had to be booked at an extra cost) were some poor crafts and a story in the biome. Simply not enough to keep the children entertained!
We booked the ice skating which was run by more unfriendly staff.
We then moved onto meeting Santa which was the worst part of the day! I heard other families in the queue discussing with their children what they would ask Santa for; the reality was there was just about time to take a picture and even then it was clear we needed to be very quick about doing so! It was more like a show than a personal meeting which is not what we were expecting or wanted. The elves had very fake plastic ears which my 6 year old pointed out and said ‘they’re not real elves’.
After meeting Santa, one of the elves was in a refreshments queue and was having a personal conversation on their mobile phone. My child instantly recognised them and noticed they no longer had their ears on which led to more awkward questions.
Left feeling very flat and annoyed that my kids were questioning whether it was all fake. Certainly wouldn’t return to Eden again at Christmas time.

Thank you for commenting on your visit. We are very sorry to hear of your disappointing experiences. We stage in-ticket events with families in mind during each school holiday. The site was dressed for Christmas and we held workshops during the day but the main Christmas event took place from 5pm onwards, on selected dates. This is because the lights and music were better showcased after dark. Our aim is to steer away from the more commercial aspect and concentrate on the magic of Christmas. . Father Christmas usually tells a story and then gives the child a small item which relates to that story. Professional actors are usually engaged for these events and we will pass your comments on to the department responsible for engaging them. If you would like to discuss this further, our Customer Liaison would love to hear from you.

I have been to Eden approx 14 years ago and loved it so I thought I would take my Husband and daughter to visit.I understand there are restrictions due to Covid but the way it has been organised is very poor and the ticket price is definitely overpriced for the experience. Far too many people are allowed in at a time (we were quoted 3000 people a day) causing endless queue's and no time to relax and look at plants in any detail as there are masses of people in queue's behind you so you are basically on a conveyor belt like ants going through the biomes. The lines of people are ushered conveniently into the shop and cafe areas and I felt it was just a way to get you to buy as much as possible without the education factor. Also, some areas have been cordoned off so the visit felt very claustrophobic, especially as masks needed to be warn in the hot biomes. My daughter did not find it at all enjoyable which is a shame as I was hoping for a relaxing and educational visit. Numbers need to be halved, more emphasis on education and less on" money grabbing" please.

During these uncertain times due to Covid I would 100% not waste your money going here.
I feel cheated out of £75 for a family ticket, I have spent longer in a garden centre and that’s without visiting a coffee shop.
I read their webpage before booking which clearly stated at the time that masks would need to be worn in their gift shop and when exiting as you exit through their shop. This wasn’t the case and we had to wear it throughout the tour through the domes on a very hot day. When you purchase your tickets you select your arrival time, not sure why as once inside social distancing is an absolute nightmare.
You don’t get time to appreciate any of the surroundings, for kids their is nothing open as due to government advice they can’t be touched due to cleaning.
The biggest disappointment of our holiday!! Time slot was for 12:30 and we were back at our car for 1:45pm ( the walk to the car was 20 minutes).
These prices should be slashed at the minute, I feel completely robbed!!!

We’re very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your recent trip to Eden. We are constantly reviewing our guidance in light of the pandemic, and it sounds as though your visit must have fallen just as the new guidance to wear masks in all indoor areas was implemented. We’re sorry this was not made clearer to you before your visit - we have now updated our webpages and welcome emails to reflect this. We will also pass your comments over to our site managers as we’re always looking to improve our experience for visitors.

We visited during half term on what was a wet and windy day. Everything started out just fine. The parking is a long walk and I'm sure the Eden project could find a way to assist those with mobility issues if needed, to access the domes easier if they really wanted to (a blue badge scheme or similar) as an able bodied person I was able to make the journey just fine with my family but can completely understand how others could struggle and I'm miffed the Eden project have neglected to accommodate the needs of some people. And considering the rest of the day the whole covid excuse really does feel pathetic..
We found the signage clear enough and although the ticket lady was a bit brusque it was a tolerable check in experience (probably because Mr Tesco paid so I allow a bit of leway with being treated differently to those actually parting with cash). Once inside though it's game over. Social distancing is a no no! I can just about understand children running around all hyped up and over excited forgetting this new world we have to exist in but adults should know better and at least attempt to control their children and at times remember the rules themselves. The experience was ok but I would urge people to wait until more normality resumes. If this was reduced capacity then I cringe at what full capacity would be like, it was carnage.
Although you would like to think the attraction attracts a certain clientele and that the staff could take a step back and let people read the signs and follow the rules there are always going to be times that people need reminders and the Eden project staff failed to deliver those. The eating areas, a free for all. The domes, a free for all. The shops a free for all... You get the idea. What would have helped would have been the staff idling at the sidelines stepping up and making orderly queues for tables etc and enforcing it. Yes we are visitors and guests but this is YOUR attraction, take charge and own it and enforce the rules for covid compliance. Going by the reviews your lackadaisical attitude to the rules has simply left a bad impression of the place to many and will ultimately cost your business in the long run!
Overall I'm glad we went because I had last been 10 years ago and had wanted my children to see it but I'm so glad I didn't part with £117 of my real money to go as I would have had to work really really hard to justify that cost to myself.
It's such a shame as we had visited many other places this holiday who have nailed covid security and had pleasant and enjoyable days out and it just felt like the Eden project had made a half hashed effort to appear covid compliant while actually just getting people through the door and not caring.

We had a lovely day at the Eden Project, and it’s unlike anything else in the UK in relation to the environment and Eco living. That said the entry fees and cost of buying food and drink at the park make it essentially inaccessible to many people on low incomes. Even an advance ticket is £26 per adult making this a £52 entry for two people. By any measure that is very expensive. Yes you can visit again all year for that price - but if you don’t live locally then that is useless. We also had two coffees and two cakes in a cafe and that came to £13.
Overall it’s worth a visit - but it’s not worth £52 entry fee. I feel sorry for the children of families who cannot afford these high entry costs and will never be able to learn from and see the Eden project.

We were staying nearby and heard good things about this also booked tickets in advance, aware things might not be fully open.
On arrival it was made clear how to navigate the project on the one way system and it was clear the actions that had been taken to keep people safe.
The project itself was looking a little sorry for itself, from what we could gather, due to the restrictions some areas hadn’t been attended to, those that expect perfection might not be happy, we were ok with it as it had been identified before we went.
The biomes are brilliant and lots of fun to walk around, the gardens are quite pretty. However, for Covid reasons the play parks were closed. They were open at other attractions so this was disappointing as it meant there was very little for our 8 year old to do, so he found it a bit boring if truth me told, very little to break up just walking round gardens.
We had pizza in the pizza place and prices weren’t ridiculous and were rather tasty.
Overall, our general feeling was that for a family with a young child this was expensive and without the play areas, wasn’t quite up to what we were expecting from it. The Lost Gardens of Heligan the next day certainly had more for a young child to do.
We will go back on another occasion, as we got the annual pass for a similar value to day ticket, so will be interested to see how our views change if everything is open.

Had previously visited and was excited to return. However due to Covid lots was closed and sadly the domes were massively overcrowded and felt unsafe. My visit this year felt overcrowded, cramped, and rushed. Hardly had time to view inside the domes or take photos as was being rushed through by other guests behind. Felt like cattle being ushered from one thing to another. No freedom to wander and explore, had to stick to certain routes meaning there were bottlenecks of people everywhere. Disappointed and felt anxious most of the time I was there.
Also felt that the price should have been lowered due to the lack of attractions, and food prices were extortionate!
If this had been my first visit I would never return.

During our Cornish holiday the weather was pretty dire so we were fortunate to have booked the Eden Project. An ideal day out with family begin it’s raining.
We travelled from Cardinham just outside of Bodmin and the road signs were not very helpful and neither was the SatNav 🤷♀️
However we managed to get there and didn’t have to queue which was great. Went straight to the desk and registered and we were in.
Once in we were told we could stay as long as we wanted. As we passed the registration desk there was a cafe/eatery area on the left and we initially thought this was the only place you could get food. Do not fear it isn’t there is a much bigger eatery after you have been through the first domes.
There is lots to see, smell and learn about plants across the world and how the project is helping towards saving the planet. Even as a 40something.
Food available is plentiful ... we had pizza (proper pizza) and spicy chicken burritos and soft drinks for 5 adults and it came to £54 which is quite reasonable.
The gift shop is huge and has a great selection of Cornish gifts suitable for all ages. We all had treats the Granddaughter at 5months right up to Grandad and his cider.
The walk from the car park is quite a way so be prepared.
We stayed about 3.5 hours and intend to use our 12 month ticket to revisit to see the plants at a different season.

We hadn't planned on visiting the Eden Project during our holiday to Cornwall but on the one rainy day we had during our stay we spontaneously booked the attraction.
We booked the 10am entrance slot and were pleasantly surprised by the short wait in the socially distanced queue.
The project itself is amazing with plenty to see on the trails before even entering the domes. When entering the first and biggest dome it is like stepping into a rain forest, the trail takes you up into the sky walks where you can see through the trees around you. I would advice wearing something light as it is very humid.
Once exiting the dome you arrive at the cafe that can get very busy with long waits in the queues.
The second dome is slightly smaller and not as warm but still just as impressive.
Overall the trip was well worth it, with lots to see and learn!

Very sad to say I left feeling poorly served, in practical terms and in terms of education and inspiration, and would definitely not return. Its over-priced, particularly for winter. The entry process is poor, lots of tills yet no segmentation for those who pre-paid like us, and we were unlucky enough to be ignored by the lady attempting to marshal the process, who got angry when we finally asked if we would have to wait behind those getting season tickets/filling out forms when she had ushered others through "you can see it's what I'm attempting to do!" It didn't set the tone for a tranquil oasis. Being asked to buy a thick printed guidebook for £6 also fails to inspire, we'd paid enough at £50+ for two, it's hardly an environmentally sound solution in print and also in a visual environment having your head stuck in a book is not what you expect. The biomes have a tired and limited feel to them, with no interactive elements - doesn't need to be digital, even just putting out something like a fruit tasting, recipe sheets to encourage us to try, take away a seed to plant etc etc....just no sense of energy or inspiration, more like a licence to take our money and we should be grateful. I'm sure it's fine for those with a local pass who seem to use the cafe and the ice rink as a local kids play area, but as an inspirational environmental destination it fails completely. Very disappointed and poor value for money.

Thank you for giving us your feedback. We are sorry to read of your disappointment. The admission price covers the day to day running of Eden and some of our international charity work. We aim to stay in line with similar global attractions but are not complacent. Our research team regularly interviews visitors the outcome of which is that 87% feel we give value for money. The guidebook includes our history and current projects. During busy periods we offer a fast track desk for visitors with pre-paid tickets. We are concerned to learn that a member of staff was impolite and if you would like to discuss this further please contact our customer liaison coordinator. In our effort to get our environmental message across we aim to present a more natural approach to the Biomes and gardening, rather than manicured. Our narrators are often working within the Project giving talks, tastings and demonstrations. We are sorry that you did not experience this during your visit.

Are there any mobility scooters to hire?
Written 18 June 2024
Hello, I don't know I would suggest calling them :-)

Yes, there are ramps and lifts. There are a couple of places that you will not be able to access, but otherwise you will be able to get to most places in the domes.

Is this suitable for someone who walks with a crutch and needs to rest after walking ?
Written 10 May 2023
I have a chronic condition which can make walking quite difficult, and I managed it okay by having rest breaks on the benches and at the cafes. The biomes are hilly as someone else has said, but it should be okay if you take it slow!

I wanted to know if there were concession tickets. Apparently not! In a time of high fuel charges their pricing strategy is so out of date, and unfair!

It's very expensive,we went with an Alfa coach trip so the entry was included with the holiday but in no way would I pay the extortionate admission charge.

Can someone please advise if the zip line is inside the park? If so, could we do this and then continue walking around the park after? I am just trying to work out what time to book the zip line and don't want to feel rushed in the park so am hoping to do it in the middle of the day. Thank you.

As far as I recall it’s inside. We watched the “flyers”.

Hello, my daughter is 15yrs old is on the autistic spectrum and has a motor tic disorder. She is currently undergoing the assessment so we have not yet applied for DLA although we've been told she'd be eligible. Would you count her as disabled with regard to booking tickets for the Eden Project, please?
Written 26 July 2022
I would say she is disabled but I don't work for the Eden Project. Either phone them or email them for a decision is my advice

It takes a couple of hours to do the domes but if you have kids there are some science type interective areas for them to explore ( it was a long time ago when I ‘did’ these)
Then there’s the zip flight..

Hi, are you allowed to take a picnic into the Eden project? Thank you in advance
Written 6 June 2022
Yes you can take your own food in...I would recommend you do as the food in there isn't great
