Interesting little story about a dolphin and the community. Would not stop if we had not visited the restaurant for dinner. Takes 5 minutes

The original statue is gone but the replacement (just off the road...literally) is a good reminder of our relationship with nature.

A lovely statue to commemorate an amazing dolphin. A lovely story with a sad ending ending. The Statue is situated looking out over the harbour, the place where he made so many friends.

We found Opo - or perhaps her monument, at least - outside the Boar and Marlin, and took the time to read her plaque. She must have been a wonderful friend to the local kids. Well done, the Opo Memorial Committee.

Everyone needs a pic with pop the dolphin. This is a newer version as the old one was vanderlised. Located outside the local pub which is on the main highway so worth a stop

We accidentally saw this statue after stopping to take in the amazing view across the road along the pier. After reading the story of Opo the special friendly dolphin we're glad we stumbled upon it.

Story of the dolphin Opo was unknown to me and quite interesting. Obviously well loved by the locals to be buried in the township

We parked right next to it and did not realize what it was. Nice story, but not worth a special visit.
