    Just meditate
It is situated at opposite side of Shi Dakshineswar Kali temple on the banks of Hugli river ( Location Belur) and is headquarter of Shri Ramkrishna math and mission founded by Swami Vivekanand. Very Calm and well maintained place. Just go and leave all your tensions by meditation.

A special place full of kind people.
This was my second time visiting, however, this time I had my mother with me and I went late afternoon rather than early morning. We had a wonderful time, soaking up the atmosphere as the sun was setting and the birds were heading to bed so lots of song. Perhaps the best part of our visit was how incredibly kind people were to us. My mum is frail, and we were offered a wheelchair which we accepted. It made it much easier for mum to see and appreciate the complex. In fact, people were so kind, that they regular signaled to the disabled access points so that we didn't miss them. If you don't like crowds, I would suggest visiting in the morning, as the afternoon slot is very busy and there is more noise which can be distracting.

Must go to experience the ' peace of mind'
A good walk inside the property, takes you to different buildings. The most visited place probably in kolkata. It's normally closed in afternoon hours, so we had to move around to kill time and reach back at 4pm. The spacious walkways, Dissciplined and well manged locations with distinctive signage are the plus features. Very nice place to go and spend 2 ~ 3 hours of quite time to yourself. Definitely worth the visit and plan for half a day.

Located in Howrah, Belur Math is a huge & sprawling complex on the bank of the Ganges, comprising a host of important monuments dedicated to Ramakrishna & Vivekananda. Serene ambience.

Serene peaceful place. The temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna movement. It is notable for its architecture that fuses Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist, and Christian art and motifs as a symbol of unity of all religions.

We travelled to Kolkata for a wedding and wanted to get a sense of the culture, so we planned a tour of several temples and Belur Math was our favorite. It is in such a peaceful place on the banks of the Ganges -- it is not crowded (unusual in Kolkata) and very peaceful. There is a picturesque ghat -- the sun rises over the Ganges and locals come to bathe or collect water at the Ghat so it is quite lovely. There is a ferry that crosses the river there to the Dakshineswar Temple -- a much busier temple that we waited in a long line to access.

Belur Math is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission, founded by Swami Vivekananda. It is located on the bank of Hooghly River, Belur, West Bengal. The temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna movement. It has a beautiful architecture that combines Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist, and Christian art and motifs as a symbol of unity of all religions. We visited the Math in the evening time in Nov’22. The Math has an expansive and well maintained complex. There is a provision of shoe rack at the entry of the Math. When we visited, the main temple was open but other temples were closed. We visited the main temple and spent some quiet time there. There was moderate crowd in the temple. The calmness in the temple and premises is maintained, photography inside the temple premises was restricted however people were taking phot despite repetitive reminders by the security and staffs. Overall, it was a peaceful visit to the Math.
