Perfect stop for an introduction to porto and wine from the Douro. It's a must see. 45 minute visit plus tasting on the terrace.

The Museu do Douro is a nice introduction to the area, so do this museum your first day. You will learn about how port is made, how the area got started and numerous other tidbits. We found it fascinating and spent almost 2 hours.
