Wonderful castle, stunning views all around but possibly the wrong time of year to visit as only a few rooms were open and the guided tour was around 40 minutes, and, and I know it's a big but, because of the winds the gardens were...More

Visited in February so the castle was shut However it’s a lovely bike ride through the estate on good tarmac roads with great views of the castle . Good walks through the grounds too and access from the caravan site

It's quite steep with a hairpin bend. Some of our group took the NT minibus up to the castle and back again. If you have difficulty walking up slopes, I suggest you take the minibus to visit the castle. The setting and the... More

There is a little trek from the entrance to the castle of about ten minutes or you can take the mini bus which runs back and forth all day

It is very steep. With a power assisted wheelchair you should have no problems as long as you have a full battery charge. Need to be careful on the downward journey but would be "do able". Enjoy
