We were on a very long narrow boat we had hired, and went very slowly across the aqueduct. We had brilliant views between the arches of the viaduct next to the aqueduct.

Kids loved walking along the canal up here. Views were fantastic, loads of narrow boats going through and the kids up real close to it all. A Free event and something very different for the kids to see

If you study you can find limited free parking right next to the canal just above The Bridge Pub. The area is very clean and very nice. Mostly level terrain and a much easier/"less stressful" walk across the Aqueduct than the other more famous one...More
Spent a short while looking at and walking over the aqueduct at Chirk. Fascinating piece of engineering. Parking was a bit of a problem, but once we found a place (In a church car park nearby and only £4) we were happy with the visit....More
