One of the beautiful wonders of the Swedish west coast. Marstrand is worth the trip but be aware of the parking challenge near the fairy because it can take a while to get a spot.

We were astounded by this island. The nice old buildings all around us all the time, the restaurants, walking paths and the fortress. Will come back.

A small charming town, fascinating and beautiful. Walking along these streets on a summer day is a delightful experience!

A short ferry (< 2minutes) ride gets you there. Shops, views, and a fortress! Be sure you visit the fortress. Which we had more time to just sit and people watch.

A great location to spend a full day with walking, sun bathing, swimming in the remote bays/beaches, or enjoying local food at one of the great cafes or restaurants (except restaurant “Wardshus”, which we would stay away from - unfriendly staff and overpriced menu.
