五重塔特別參拜 special visit to the five-storied pagoda

It is a special experience to visit to the five-storied pagoda, the building have long history, and because it have a big log at middle, it can bear the strong earthquake. The way want to pagoda is charming. I like this place.

I go there for work almost every two weeks. And yet everytime I go to the pagoda I find it different, whether it is under the snow or surrounded by green foliage during summer.

I suspect this visit was much quieter than it would have been over the summer. It is certainly a slipper walk on the snow and ice, but I love that they permit access for those willing to make the walk. It is beautiful.

We started the walk from Zuishin Mon the entrance gate to the top of Mt Haguro. You will pass by the red bridge called the Shinkyo bridge and waterfall called the suga No taki. Magnificent sights

The shrine itself is nothing special, but the location along the trail to the temple on top of Mt Haguro and being situated among some very tall cedars, just adds something to the picture.

You can arrive from the bottom or taking it in via the walk from the top. It's a good step down to it and back up but well worth it. Need to be fit and have the correct foot wear.

This place is far from the beaten track in the countryside of West Japan. Come here while the foreign tourists still haven't discovered it yet. On a cold November day, we were the only foreign tourists here. The hike to the pagoda is only 10...More

This is located on Mt. Haguro, you can see my other review of it on its corresponding page. The Pagota itself is very beautiful and its fits in perfectly with the towering cedar trees around it. Definitely worth the visit!

Walked over a stream, there appeared a giant sider called Granpa. And then・・・awesome, more than a just awesome. せせらぎを通り過ぎると、爺と呼ばれる大杉が現れ、そして。。素晴らしい。言葉以上に素晴らしい。

Unadorned and enveloped in trees, it would be easy to miss this pagoda if there wasn't a side path to take you to it. For us, that made it even more sublime.
