This is one of those side notes you should notice while in the area. You will most likely drive over it at some point if you're in the area and it's interesting enough to pay attention to while you're approaching and driving over it.

This bridge was made famous in a TV commercial, and seemed impossibly steep. In reality it is still within normal scale. A direct bus from Sakaiminato JR station to Matsue would go through this bridge. This bus route also takes less time than travelling by...More

It didn't look anything like the photo on a leaflet. I want to know where the photo was taken & what kind of lens was used. Not photoshopped, was it?

OK, it is great bridge and as we visited great Yushien Garden, we also drove over it, altogether four times. But most photoes lie, it really is not frightening and much more demanding hills you meet easily when driving some alpine roads. Not worth driving...More

It's nice to say you rode over one of the Worlds tallest bridges, that's about all the excitement you get from it. Nothing majorly that stands out past the initial slope from Matsue side to other.

You ll probably have to buy yourselve a ticket to Japan, then rent a car (and drive on the right side). But before that think twice.. you'll be able to find a lot more beautiful places on earth to enjoy Have a nice trip
