The beach is not as cool as some of the surrounding establishments. There's also a lot of vibrant art on the walk down to the beach, and the beach is passable, especially compared to the one between Kamakura and Enoshima

The recent hurricane has damaged the beach and left a pile of debris. But, I’m sure repairs will be done with typical Japanese efficiency.

Slightly different from italian sea side but of course this is pacific ocean. Nice view in clear days it is possible to see Mount Fuji in the distance.

If you're from a country with nice beaches, you'll likely be disappointed but for Japan, this is sufficient. The crowds are horrendous and it's dirty, but there are waves and there's a great jogging course along the coast. (See photos.)

there is not something special on southern beach Chigasaki. just beach. maybe good place for jog and bike. water is clean but not clear.
