The beach is not as cool as some of the surrounding establishments. There's also a lot of vibrant art on the walk down to the beach, and the beach is passable, especially compared to the one between Kamakura and Enoshima

If you're from a country with nice beaches, you'll likely be disappointed but for Japan, this is sufficient. The crowds are horrendous and it's dirty, but there are waves and there's a great jogging course along the coast. (See photos.)
