When I finally visited this fortress, I was astonished at the majesty of the view. There's not much left from ancient times except the walls themselves, but the view does move the spirit.

Had the place to ourselves in May, with great opportunities to use our imaginations. We parked at free lot north of castle and walked up to entrance. Not much room for visitor cars above lot. Spiral staircase to top is a bit steep and narrow....More

Call to the gift shop at the base of the castle. The lady will open the gate and you are free to walk around the castle yourself. The views from the castle of Olvera are truly amazing.
