Great part of Auckland

Lovely beaches on this coast, and Matakana is a little hub with a fabulous Farmers' Market on the weekends.

Lovely little village

Have driven on state highway 1 past the turnoff to Matakana for many years and decided to go and stay for 2 nights.....so glad we did. Nice boutique shops, great little 4 square for those forgotten necessities.Cool public toilets.
