Owned and run by adventure-lovers Tony and Nina, Blue Adventures has recently won the New Zealand Travel Industry Awards. Blue Adventures is a Worksafe accredited Adventure Activity Operator and the only IKO-affiliated Kite Centre in the Auckland region. Our kite surfing instructors are trained to teach using IKO's safe progressive method and our lessons are IKO certified. At Blue Adventures we’re all about providing a personalised and exciting experience. Our dedicated IKO and ISA qualified kitesurfing and stand up paddleboarding instructors are passionate about what they do and will provide you with a safe and fun way to learn these amazing water sports. We believe in customer satisfaction and our teaching technique has proven to be extremely successful. Small groups, step-by-step instructions and our up to date equipment will ensure you progress easily and safely while learning these addictive sports! Whether you’re looking for kiteboarding, SUP or wakeboarding lessons, rentals or Naish kiteboarding and SUP gear we’ve got something for you! Blue Adventures runs lessons in the Auckland and Matakana Coast region and our Watersports Centre is located on the water’s edge of the Omaha lagoon, a fantastic location for kitesurfing, paddleboarding and wakeboarding.

incredibly fun controlled and reassuring instructor- super flexible management team! (Had to change my booking 3 times- Nina was an absolute Gem!)

Went on the 10-hour kite camp. Was a really good experience, great instructors and awesome to be able to stay in one of the teepees. Plenty of great information along with patient instructors that got me up and running.

Really awesome experience - Tony my instructor was punctual, organised, patient and made sure I had what I needed to have a great wakeboard experience.
I definitely recommended Blue Adventures to anyone wanting to enjoy themselves out on the blue waters of Omaha, together with a professional instructor.

We had three lessons with different instructors each time, by far Mark was the best of the three we had, if you were to do lessons I would suggest requesting that you get him. We learnt a lot on our session with him and he is an awesome instructor, super chill and explains himself very clearly making it easy to progress quickly over session! Cheers guys

An excellent experience! Thoroughly recommend. All the instructors were very knowledgeable, patient and super enthusiastic when you got a win. We also went wake boarding to build up our board skills when the wind was too light to kite. The kiteboarding was great too! We are ready to get out and hone those board starts now! Nice beginner friendly shallow water to learn in made it easy to build confidence and skill. Great accommodation too and it was cool to be booked on the retreat with another (ahem) post-40’s couple. Lol. We will be back to Blue Adventures for more lessons for sure! Thanks for the excellent experience, Tony and team. 😄

Very helpful when booking and on arrival.
I was really impressed with how accommodating and organised our stay was.
I had a look around at other kitesurfing lesson options and it turns out this one is actually really good value for money considering the accomodation is included.
Breakfast and lunch is included, though I would recommend bringing some extra snacks.
The instructors are very friendly and approachable and we managed to easily get through all of the lesson plan.
There are alternate locations to suit the wind conditions so the priority is to make sure you are kiting.
I would definitely recommend blue adventures to anyone wanting to learn how to kite surf.

We did the kiteboarding Lesson, and it was a blast! the teacher was energetic and highly knowledgable, even though there was a minimal amount of wind, we were still able to have a great lesson and get hooked on the sport! I would Highly recommend.

I booked the Kite Camp online and Nina was kind and really punctual answering my questions, and thanks to her everything was very easy to organize!
The Tepee and the location for the accommodation were lovely and the cleanliness standards were very hight!
Tony is super kind and he is definitely really an expert about kite, wind knowledge and all the skills related to them!
The lesson itself was great I made some serious improvement thanks to Thomas!

I signed for the 2 days kite Camp to start kiteboarding and everything was perfect. Tony and Nina were so helpful to prepare our trip, as we had no cars they came to pick us up at Warkworth and we spent the first morning at the Matakana farmers market (while waiting the wind to pick up) which was so wonderful.
The kiting started in the afternoon in a magical location, we had one instructor for two students which was perfect. We were also provided a super tasty lunch!
The accommodation is very comfortable and the place is incredible! In the morning of the second we could enjoy a very nice Breakfast with a coffee and direction an other beach.
I never thought I'd be able to stand on my board but thanks to the great teaching it was a success.
I'd really recommend Tony and his team for being so professional and they really insist on safety which is great. All the instructors were so patient and kind it was a pleasure to spend these two days!

I had three lessons ( 3 hours each ) with Alex from Blue Adventures over a week. Alex was an awesome instructor and taught me how to respect the kite and wind, look after the gear, set up and pack down and of course how to get up and going.
Alex knew how to keep me safe and exactly the right piece of advice to get me to the next level.
At the end of my last lesson I was getting up consistently and sailing - it was awesome.
All the gear we used was less than a year old, in great condition and suited a variety of body shapes and sizes.
After all my lessons Tony also helped me purchase my first set of kite gear and show me what to look for when buying.
The Blue Adventures team were great, friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with.
