It was fabulous adventure for a Kiwi (or an international visitor) to see the kiwi, kereru and morepork in their natural habitat. It is an easy stroll with the hardest part trying to walk quietly on the gravel. The tour was grandchildren's xmas present & Ness was awesome with them, answering all their questions, even when one asked if the kiwi would peck her shoe. To our amazement the first kiwi we saw strolled out onto the track and made it's way across to pecked at Ness's shoe! Thanks Ness for the memory, it will be with us forever.

Real kiwis and other native birds in their natural habitat, less than a meter away from you, not behind greasy fingerprint smudged glass. Our guide Vanessa was a trove of information and extremely passionate, all while providing that friendly laid back and local vibe. Definitely check it out.

Wow - not sure who was more excited - the kids or adults. It is an easy walk with such a lovey guide. Just an experience not to be missed - so much so that we we do do again. Prior to this was only lucky enough to see a kiwi once at the zoo. We got to see 7 in the wild plus a morepork and sleeping kereru. Really just a must do!

We had a wonderful tour to see Kiwi. Ness is such a good & knowledgeable guide who really knows her subject. We were fortunate to see Kiwi, Morepork and Kererū in the wild and have those lasting memories. Thank you so much Ness.

Personalised and fun experience. Vanessa (Ness) generously shared her backyard with us and her knowledge of the place was obvious. She described herself as a budding 'Kiwi Whisperer'; we;re not sure if it was this but we saw two kiwi in their natural habitat! Ness was similarly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the other birdlife and we experienced much of it. The hot chocolate (vegan!) and homemade cookies (with vegan option) were the icing on the cake!
