About
Romilly is a traditional Norman cider production located just behind the La Cambe German military cemetery. There we produce ciders, Pommeau, Calvados and other liquors following our ancestor's guidelines. All our products are 100% pure apple juice and we work with responsible farming methods. We offer a guided tour every Wednesday 2:30 PM all year long. This tour last roughly an hour, it is free and accessible for everyone. You will walk through our orchards, our Calvados cellar and a short film about cider production available in English will be projected. Finally you will end the tour tasting our products with the producers. For groups: We are used to welcome groups/buses. Fully fluent in English we can tailor the guided tour according to your schedule, it could last an hour or just 20 minutes. We can set up those tours for groups of more than 20 people, just e-mail us or you can phone us. Our movie is available in French, English, Dutch or German.

This little winery was part of our tour to Normandy while we were in France. It was pouring down rain, but it added to the ambience of the old building we were in. We tasted several apple wines and liquors. We bought their Liqueur 44. We haven’t broken it open yet, but we are excited to share it with friends and reminisce about the unforgettable day we had while on vacation in France. I highly recommend stopping by Vergers de Romilly when in northern France.

Well worth going on the Wednesday afternoon tour, it starts at 2.30 and is run in either English or French. You get to view the orchards, find out how production has adapted over the years and see how the cider and calvados is made and stored. There’s a fantastic tasting session (apple juice for the kids) and a video - in French but still nice to watch. Then obviously the buying of products - well worth it and nice to buy from the family that makes it, not the middle man. The prices are pretty good too, there’s a range of sizes available in all products so you can spend as little or as much as you want!

My husband and I took a day trip tour to the D-Day sites in Normandy and one of the stops was a Cider tasting at the Romilly Cider company. We never tasted apple cider like that. So delicious. They have different kinds of cider aged differently. They also make this amazing apple cider reduction that I can not explain to you how good it is. Benjamin the owner is a gentleman, very passionate about what he does and his products. Super recommend it.

Beautiful family run business - a true taste of Normandy! We enjoyed Benjamin's tour and explanation of the cider making process - he has excellent communication skills and is well able to cater for the needs within any group. The cider tasting is well paced considering the strength of calvados, and the jams are an excellent touch! This doesn't mention what has to be the best apple juice ever tasted! Benjamin was generous with his time and answer all questions.

Well worth a trip - highly recommend! The dogs are a brilliant addition!!

Good luck with the business and the future Benjamin!

Nice family owned orchard.
Nice little history and process tour.

Limited English but if you can't understand a little french don't holiday in France.

Free tour.

Two boys 8 & 11 found it interesting but not suitable for little children.

Calvados to die for!

This place we found by chance some years ago. The favorite is the common one, with a distinct smell and flavour of apples. Naturally you would think, but most"refined" just smells of alocohol - this one doesn't.
The staff isn't always so good at english - the owner is

The gentleman who talked us through the history and ciders of his family farm was lovely. Great English, very easy to understand but told us the names of things in French first which for me just added to the experience. I’m not in France to only hear English.
The ciders are delicious although watch out for the strong ones, they knock your socks off!! The jams also were amazing!
The buildings are very old and beautiful and you can see how much history is all around you.
Highly recommend. We went as part of a bus tour group and definitely was one of the highlights of the day.
Thanks for having us to your beautiful home!

We had high hopes of this place! We were looking forward to something a little different after all the war stories. Sadly it was one of the only things we felt let down by in the area. The charming man took us on a tour, but Whilst his English was certainly a lot better than my French(!) he was quite difficult to understand. He literally spoke in huge long chunks of French, for maybe 10 minutes, and then added just a few sentences in English at the end. The children were losing the will to live, as we're we, to be honest. They do advertise that they run Tours in English so we were disappointed by this. We were shown an orchard, a distilling vat and a room holding barrels. Then we were taken in to the barn to watch a video.... but that didn't work. Slightly disappointing all round. Thank goodness it was free. Or was it??? We were given various items to taste.... apple juice, cider, calvados.... and purchased several bottles to take home. Felt extremely cheated when we found the EXACT same products in the supermarket for a LOT less money. The apple juice at Romilly was €4 but it was €2.65 in Carrefour. That gives you an idea of the mark up on all of their products. The family were extremely kind, absolutely charming in fact, but we just felt slightly cheated by the whole experience.

We went there with 2 kids. We did not finish the visit. It was wayy too long for children. For adults you can learn a lot about apple farming but it's too specific and detailled for kids. I did not enjoy their cider very much but enjoyed the Calvados.
