We really wanted to see the difference in sea level that happens at French Pass. We tried 2 years ago driving along the gravel road for miles and miles. We aren't very good with heights and some of the nz roads. We chickened out towards the end when it was in the far distance and so we missed it. This will probably be our last trip out here and a boat trip would have been good. However, if there is not an organised one it would be far too expensive for us to consider. Thank you so much for replying. Liz
