Visited on Thursday 17th May. We stopped there in our campervan to have a break and some lunch. Plenty of parking off the main road. You can also use the toilets there as well.

This place is magical. In 1985 after a long ride, I walked up to the top of the nearby hill or small mountain and could see valleys with a 360 degree view and then mountains beyond that. In '90 enjoyed the river and met a...More

Although some 18 kilometers from 41 Main Road Havelock, its location on this site this place with a narrow old one car width steel bridge is worth a stop to view the river scenery which is pretty and different. Too bad about the skinny bridge.

All of this within a 15 minute walk. Great scenery, good photo opportunities, and a great place to swim. The water is very clean and clear and the rocks make for some fun jumping. The SH6 bridge is nice, but don't miss the suspension walkway...More

all the way through this scenic road, you may find good spots for a quick refreshing dive. Keep your eyes on the side road and you will find various similar natural "pools" such as those at Pelorus Bridge. Nice chilling stop by the river.
