For our anniversary we decided to explore a new place and decided to visit the Tico north pacific. We found a very good airbnb in Playas de Coco and from there moved around the Peninsula de Papagayo. The town itself is pretty busy and has...More

This is a safe swimming beach with lots of shade. Parking is limited, so get there early. I bought a rain poncho for $3.00 in one of the shops, and shopped at the supermarket. Food prices are high in Costa Rica, since it’s mostly imported....More

We visited a couple of times, we might have gone more but felt it a bit expensive to get there on the shuttle bus. Once there, just the one street, you can happily spend a couple of hours browsing around, the beach and walk area...More

I gave this a very good rating but you must understand its small, dirty, poor and full of tourist shops, bars and resturants. That said I still think it worth a few hours time. The local grocery sells good fruits and coffee at good prices....More

What a great beach, very family friendly and a great place to watch the sunset. It has great places to eat and you can buy coconut water and fresh fruit for almost nothing.

Nothing special unfortunately. Great shops in the area where you can cheap sovereigns. Bars are okay.

Took a van for $15 for a round trip from the hotel. Nice place to see the sun go down by the beach. Did some souvenir shopping and then had a drink at a beach bar, Nice people at shops especially Susy's Souvenirs.

After 2 weeks elsewhere in Costa Rica, Playa del Coco was a let down. Vehicles seem to be allowed to drive along the beach, which is narrow making it unsafe. We found an area at the Southern end where the cars didn't go, as there...More

Good beach. Area was clean. However next to review resorts and can hear the thumping music from the water. The water was clean however a little choppy due to the boat wakes. Definitely wear water shoes or sandals because of the rocks on the beach.

The peeps at Coconutz were really accommodating for hockey games. At Zi's, only the bar staff would accommodate.
