Living nearby Harvard square I am always amazed by the number of tourists that can sometimes outnumber the students/locals. However, this keeps the area alive with plenty of shops and restaurants for those of us who reside in less commercial areas nearby.

This area has nice looking shops and would be a pleasant place to walk around if a) it was a sunny warm day and b) there was parking. We drove around for almost an hour and then managed 40 minutes parking in a 2 hour...More

We were in Boston and thought it would be fun to walk around Harvard Square and Harvard Yard. It was a better warm day and we enjoyed ourselves completely. Really busy with lots of students walking around. We went to the statue of John Harvard...More

Listened to a car talk show on NPR years ago, done by two guys whose officers are the above. Fun to go just to see they still are there, if for no other reason. Thoroughly enjoyed their show even though I'm not particularly a car...More

Recent trip to Boston brought us to Cambridge for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Spent some time wandering around Harvard Square. So much history here! Interesting and busy area but definitely worth a stroll. Enjoyed the small Farmer’s Market. Friendly people and great produce. Charming...More

Great people watching with a ton of restaurants and bars! We sat and “people watched” while we had drinks and appetizers on a patio!

I had a day to go do whatever I wanted while my husband was at work. I decided to visit Harvard square and some shops around. It was fun to people-watch and to get some food and coffee. The Harvard bookstore was a great spot...More

Nice to see the college but much of it was restricted from entering. They do have some events and food trucks so I would suggest checking calendar before going.

This area has become infested with hipsters and bugpeople. The indoctrination centers that our colleges have become are churning out a bunch of spindly armed hacks who have no actual life skills but can write 800 pages on intersectionality. Almost everyone here is a communist....More

There is a big parking lot at the Alewife station. It takes 3-4 T stops to reach Harvard Square.

Parking there is difficult and paid in the streets infront the square I would recommend to take the red line and enjoy walking around
