Incredible!! We were lucky with the weather too....clear sky, no clouds. Keith, our pilot, was fantastic with great commentary throughout. Highly reccomend this journey. Go early morning. Better chance of less clouds.

Ryan was our pilot and he was amazing. Great tour guide and great pilot. My family had the whole copter to ourselves. Ryan was super laid back and easy to talk to. Definitely takes pride in his job. This experience was unlike anything I have...More

Our family of 5 (three teens, two adults) had the whole chopper to ourselves and we enjoyed every second of our flight. After leaving the airport we saw some of the lava flows that ran straight to the ocean many years before. The lush green...More

I flew on Paradise Helicopters on a flight that included the 2018 lava flow. Exciting! The trip started late because despite the helicopter sitting there for 45 minutes prior to departure, it hadn't been refueled. The pilot went through his pre-check, discovered the low fuel...More

I had some specific parts of the island I wanted to concentrate on and our pilot was happy to accommodate. So we spent less time in some places and quite a bit more in others. My friend was a little afraid of going along but...More

After a safety briefing at the Kona airport, we embarked on a 1 hr copter flight to Hilo, passing by Mauna Loa (active) and Kea (dormant with weather station) and over the amazing crater and lava fields of Kilauea. Our pilot, Rob, a veteran of...More

The 3 of us were first-time flyers and even though we have been on the Big Island of Hawaii island multiple times, we were able to view and experience so much more from the air than ever before on land. Take an early flight so...More

We took off on an afternoon tour, even though the weather tried hard to interfere with our tour, Raliegh did an excellent job of making the best of every moment we had before the rain came down. The helicopter was comfortable and the pilot made...More

The seats were assigned based on the weights of the other passengers on the day so there's no way to 100% guarantee the window without paying for the upgrade. I'd be surprised if swapping is an option (there wasn't much... More

We drove from Kona to Hilo, I believe it was cheaper than taking the flight from Kona. My suggestion is the same as the other replies, check with the tour company. Enjoy your flight!
