All reviews dakota building beatles fan imagine mosaic beatles songs central park nice tribute quiet zone yoko ono apartment building his life peaceful place fitting tribute worth a visit west side new york taking pictures mosaics
I wanted to participate in whatever great music was happening, to celebrate the life of John Lennon. I would like Ms. Ono, and John's sons and relatives to know, the live music was fabulous. When I entered Central Park across from 72nd street, I could...More
It’s easy to see why John Lennon loved walking in Central Park. While visiting on a tour, I found it so peaceful to be in the park and walk around. The place is wonderful. It’s so quiet once you get into the park, you can...More
When visiting Central Park, checking out the Dakota, (where John Lennon lived and was assassinated) is a good prelude to visiting the Imagine memorial. The building is beautiful architecturally and very interesting to see. Cross the street from the building and a short walk into...More
This is a must see if you’re a big Lennon fan. I recommend going in the morning when it’s not crowded if you want good pictures. Otherwise it’s impossible to get a good picture without people obstructing the view of the mosaics.
Imagine all the people in NYC flocking to one place at one time and then some of them getting a bit shouty and you-ho-oo-ooo-ooooo’ll be right in line with our experience of Strawberry Fields. Of course it’s a beautiful spot and I subscribe 100% to...More
Very crowded could not get a picture of the imagine mosaic because every second people were squatting on it for a photo.

A natural next step after the Dakota, nice tribute to John Lennon although a little disappointed at the number of people just squatting in the middle of the mosaic for selfies, grinning - seemed a bit like sitting on a grave to me. A couple...More

I am not sure. We were there in August in the middle of summer and it was very hot. You would be able to do the walk around the teardrop shape garden path, but if it snows the "Imagine" mosaic on the path would be covered in snow. If no snow, I would say go. There's bound to be other visitors there as well as buskers.
