Coming from a city with large zoos, or other zoos in the country, this one is rather small. It is nicely situated in the city and next to Central Park which is a draw. In terms of variety, it is limited. The 4D movie was...More

Small zoo but the sea lions were so entertaining!! Only really need a couple of hours to go around the whole zoo, but it's a great setting and would recommend it.

Children of all ages love to go and spend a few hours, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The animals are well taken care of, the seal show informative.

I have never seen red pandas as close up as I did here, and that alone was worth it! However, the snow leopards and lemurs were also a real treat.

Expensive to Visit If you are expecting the same animals as in Madagascar you will be disappointed. To be honest I would recommend giving this attraction a miss. There are much better things to do in Central Park and they are free.

Central Park Zoo is one of our favorites go-tos since my children started walking. We popped in for an hour this past Saturday again, to look at penguins, tropical birds and other animals. Highly recommend as a day trip!
