Stumbled across Bryant Park by accident when they had a food festival. Fantastic open space right in the middle of the city. Overlooked by the public library. Nice place to grab a coffee and sit and watch the world go by.

Next to the New York Public Library. I visited in the 1970s- was not good. Very pleasant now. Building a new ice rink. People playing ping pong, nice bakery and food stalls.

5 stars for Bryant park. Plenty of seating for a little rest, cup of coffee or lunch in the park. Check out their web site bryantpark.org! On this site you will find a calendar of events. Well worth the visit especially in December.
