Buy your tickets on-line to avoid the crowd at the zoo. Once you are inside, be prepared to walk many miles but you'll enjoy every step. Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat because everything is outside. Many animals to see and learn about. We spent...More

My husband and I visited this Zoo. It was his first visit. There were opportunities to live and learn throughout the Zoo. Be prepared for extensive walking. We were grateful for our opportunity to visit the beautiful Zoo

Review of: San Diego Zoo

If you’re not a zoo-lover or if you’ve had your fill of zoos, don’t prioritize this on your San Diego trip. It was nice, a lot of exhibits and very well thought out design. But there’s not much exquite here. The pandas are gone :-(....More

We only bought our tickets at the gate so I am assuming the question you have is for the SanDiego zoo directly. I would think you could ask through their website. Sorry I couldn’t help you.

Not within walking distance. Downtown is close by and there are hotels but you'll probably need to Uber or Lyft or cab to get to and from the zoo.
