Enjoy a nice walk around the commons. Ice skate on the outdoor rink during the winter months. Ride the carousel or let the kids enjoy the playground. Beautiful trees and foliage. You can take a walking tour to learn all the history.

Last year we got to Boston too early so this year we planned it two weeks later and the trees in the Boston Commons were at their height for fall colors. Crisp temperatures and no rainforest the six days we were there.

The wind was howling and inspired a brisk pace past the Black Friday shoppers. The edges of the pond were freezing, but the bright sun inspired us to cover most of the Common. We enjoyed the dog park and the active ice skating rink.
