We took a walk around the lagoon in front of the Palace Of Fine Arts on the morning of October 4. Not crowded. Saw several species of birds roosting in the trees. It was still warm enough for the hummingbirds to be feeding on the...More

I have always loved attending a concert at the Palace of Fine Arts theatre. And this time was no different. Great site lines and awesome sound. The catering service is excellent. Returning to see Bruce Hornsby next week. Love the refreshed exterior.

A must see when in San Francisco. One can combine a visit to this palace and Golden Gate Bridge since both are close to each other. Palace offers excellent architecture and glimpses of San Francisco’s history. Visit to palace is free of cost.

What a splendid building boasting the architecture inspired by Roman and ancient Greek design. We wandered on the pathways around the lagoon at sunset, in awe of the majesty of the site. All of it. The towering columns and magnificent dome are something not to...More

Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
