Hilo’s Rainbow Falls without the rainbow is still a magical sight and an easy little hike. The walk to the top of the overlook is only a few minutes and the views are marvellous. The river just above the falls is a bit reminiscent of...More

If you've come this far you might as well see Rainbow Falls. The site is well kept and has excellent access, although the upper levels require reasonable footwear and conditioning to ascend and descend. The little hike up is worth the extra time and effort....More

Beautiful waterfall. We were lucky to see the rainbows. There's some spectacular trees nearby to explore as well. Best thing about this place is that it's only a 20 metre walk from the car. Easiest falls to see anywhere in Hawaii.

A relaxing spot to walk around. Definitely need to climb to the top of the falls on the staircase to the left. Then go into the woods to see a couple of massive banyan trees... This is a must see.

This trip to Rainbow Falls is a quick one from Hilo and the falls are easy to rind. Beautiful scenery, and wonderful for budding or professional photographers. Later in the afternoon, it is not as hot and just standing there, viewing these magnificant falls provides...More

Very nice view from any angle. Beside the waterfalls I enjoyed the Banyan trees at the park. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when I. Visited the falls so I couldn’t see the rainbow.

There isn't enough parking for the crowds, but we kept going around until we finally got a spot. The waterfall is in Hilo and really lovely.

The best of the falls I got to see on my trip. You can get a great picture here, it's free to visit. If you only have time to see one fall in the Hilo area, make it this one.

worth the effort to stop to see - take the time to walk up the walkway to see the falls from a different view point as well as walk under the huge banyan tree (?) on the hill.
