Went for lunch on Tuesday. Our waitress handled the entire rooftop by herself. Beautiful day to overlook Broadway. Iconic atmosphere and Food both terrific. Lots of history here. Great country music in every level. Got very large salad with chicken loaded with perfectly seasoned chicken...More
One of Nashville's institutions, and a great spot for a beer or two, but any longer and you'll feel hemmed in by this tight old bar crammed with tables, a small stage and a long bar. Staff well on top of the crowd though, so...More
Had to visit during a very brief stay in Nashville. Ground floor bar was heaving but hit lucky as someone who was leaving offered me her seat right next to the band - who were actually very good.
The place was packed - probably dangerously...More
Like most of the bars on Broadway, Tootsies is a tourist trap. Today's Broadway is not like the Broadway of the old days of Nashville that you saw in Ken Burns's series on country music, when up-and-coming artists like Willie Nelson would play there. Most...More

We were actually there the middle of the afternoon. The first two floors were packed but the third wasn’t (it was hot that day). If you are doing an evening bash it will be packed. It will start to get busy around 6 because that’s when kids are no longer allowed in. There is a stairwell to the right of the main door. Use that to access the top floor because it’s so much easier than trying to get through the bars. We didn’t find this until we were leaving. Have a great time the city is a blast.
