This park was a short walk from our hotel. It was nice a go out and walk along the river after sitting on a plane for several hours.

I was glad to see that the waterfront park was clean and there were no homeless camped out there. My friend didn't want to go there- fearing encampments. We had to walk down several different streets to avoid their camps to get there, but once...More

We enjoyed strolling through the park along side the river. Need to watch out for the geese (and what they leave behind). Led us to the Saturday market. As this was our first visit to Portland we found it all interesting and relaxing

We heard about the homeless population and the unsafe/unsanitary conditions but truth be told we did see homeless people but not much else. We enjoyed our walk along the river bank on a clear September sunny morning. The park had its share of joggers and...More

unfortunately this has deteriorated over the years to be totally unsafe and unpleasant. I used to love to come to see the blooming cherry trees in the spring but I never go there now.. there are assaults, begging, human waste and general chaos

Everytime I drive into the city there are tents and trash. Who would want to live in Portland and pay the high prices of rent when it is so littered and noisy. I really there is enabling because there are referral services available. In Northwest...More

Tom McCall Park has been there for years and years. Lots of thing happen there. It's nice to stroll along the paved walk ways. Or ride a bike along it taking in the view and the Willamette River. It's great for laying on a blanket...More

I would not really call this very park-like. The grassy area is kind of dirty and not all that welcoming. But the river views are nice. We didn't linger here but walked through on our way from our hotel to OMSI. Portland is a great...More

The waterfront park which is owned by the city of Portland is free except certain events. Even during events, one can still access to the park itself without any charge.
