There are a couple sites just off the highway between Shady Cove and the Crater Lake road that are wonderful. They are an easy walk from the parking lot too for us seniors with health issues. It is a gorgeous River and interesting area.

This is a beautiful stretch of river between Grant's Pass and Hell Gate. Really best seen on a Jet Boat although floats and tubes are possible with a way to get back to Grant's Pass required if you are on your own.
Rogue River is not only great fishing, but excellent when you take the Hellgate Canyon river trip stopping off for a family style meal at the beautiful lodge. Hang on to your seat though, as they love to spin the boat around in the river....More

The river is as clean as a river can get, the whole river was clean and just plain beautiful. Rafting, jet boats, just playing in the water at the appropriate places are just amazing!
