If you are in the Tampa Bay area, you must go to Caladesi. You can access this state park by taking the ferry from Honeymoon or by kaying from the mainland. The water is warm and clear, there are no rocks; all you need to...More

Beautiful and wild! Great place to spend the day. Bring plenty of sun screen and shade devices like umbrellas. On calm days you can rent kayaks from a place on the causeway and day trip over to Caladesi and Honeymoon Island.

You have to pay to get onto Honeymoon Island first, if you don't have a pass. That's $8. From there you drive a to the ferry parking lot and then you have to pay $14 per person (round trip) to get onto Caladesi. I think...More

A nice Beach. You can bring your own boat or there is a pay for round trip boat that leaves honeymoon islands. Every hour during the day.

Over the years, I have enjoyed Caladesi island ! The Ferry boat is fun to ride and the price is right! I just wish we could stay on the island longer but I understand the reason why we can't!

We took the ferry over to Caladesi Island from Honeymoon Island. This beach was rated Top 10 in the US and I'm not sure why. We loved that it was somewhat remote and secluded from tons of people on the beach but we expected it...More

We enjoyed a few hours relaxing on the island. Bring your own umbrella, chairs, and cooler for your stay. The cost is $14.00 for a round trip ferry ride from Honeymoon Island, which charges an $8 park fee. The short ferry ride to the island...More

Best bet is to contact the Ferry directly. The ferry runs on a schedule and it is usually an early day. Caladesi is better than Honeymoon Island by the way. Beaches are pristine.
