A beautiful building and right in the middle of a nice park. Bring your lunch and enjoy the view. The chimes ring on the quarter hour.

We enjoyed the tower as we walked around it. Many people were arriving and departing from the e train station. Would have been nice to see the inside.

Torre Monumental or Tower of the English was built by British citizens in 1916 to commenorate the 100 years anniverary of the Revolution of May. One of the must see tourist spot in town and easy to access with several other sight seeing spots nearby.

I am glad this tower is still standing and in good shape even after it was renamed from the English tower after the Falkland wars. It is Big Ben mini .
