You can walk down to the falls and get close to the Mendenhall Glacier. Pictures just do not do it justice.

We went to the Mendenhall Glacier and visitor center, and due to rain I was giving up on this idea. I was so glad that my dad encouraged us to go. It was raining hard and we were soaked by the time we got done,...More

Beautiful views of waterfall and glacier. Area of high rainfall, so wear appropriate clothing! Visitor centre close by has lots of useful information.

If you are able to walk the 2 mile round trip, take the trail while visiting the Mendenhall Glacier. You will be up very close to the Falls...it is beautiful and well worth the walk.

This was an extremely easy hike to a great view. Might be more difficult if you have mobility issues, but not impossible.

I took a bus to Mendenhall Glacier, not knowing the Falls were there. I thoroughly enjoyed my hike that culminated in seeing both of these amazing treats of nature.

I don't recall the bus being able to fit a scooter (just an old school bus) but you could contact the shuttle company & see if they have other vehicles.

Yeah you can take it, but you have to take it outside the cruise. Right there in the pier there some drivers that can take you over there.
